The end of Rasher, but...

Here's a peek at a panel from Rasher in tomorrow's issue of The Beano

It's the final Rasher mini-strip.

I'm currently drawing a regular mini-strip with Rasher as the star.

What?!? How can both of those statements be true? And yet, they are! More info soon!

Did you see the new Dennis the Menace cartoon?
I've grown to like the changes they've made as they don't ruin my enjoyment of the show.

I keep missing it, Alec. I must remember to watch it next week.

Do you know anything about the age demographics of comics readers? I was a huge Marvel fan in the 70's/ early 80's and obviously I was in the target demographic- I am now 47 and apparently I am still the target demographic !! Is this true or a jibe aimed at comics- that their readers are all middle aged men? As I only buy comics now and again Marvel had better not rely on me for their future. And what about the Beano's demographic?

It's on weekdays as far as the CBBC is concerned.

I think The Beano is mainly aimed at 7 to 11 year olds but it also has a wider readership because of older readers' familiarity with the characters. But the core readership are children, as it has ever been, and that's who we aim towards.

As for Marvel, they started pitching their comics at an older audience years ago, as their fan base grew older. It's a shame they don't do many comics for younger readers now though.

Marvel carry an age rating on their comics now. T plus means anyone over 13 presumably. Mature Content means adults
